by Mrs. Witness inlast night my husband told me that there's an old lady in his congregation who thinks i'm "cute" and offered to talk to me since she also had a ubm and is concerned about our marriage.. i wanted to gag.
should i talk to this nosy old bitty?

Nice one Prince...what part of Ohio?
Of course I'm going to tell hubby to tell her "no", but I have to admit, my curiosity almost got the better of me. I talked to his hard-core JW mom once for about 2 hours and hubby was deflated when I said that she was not able to convince me to "turn". It was interesting to listen to the pat responses of someone who's been in for 30 years who's son is an elder (NOT hubby, of course).

My current cat will eat plastic bags. He's also addicted to Fancy Feast. It's kitty crack! He was waking me up at 4:00 a.m. for it.
My mom's cat would eat raisins off the table and peaches.
My first cat used to lick the bar of soap. And she'd lick my legs after I shaved and put lotion on. She was not right in the head! She freaked out once and wouldn't come out of my bedroom. I eventually had to put food and a litter box in there for her. Then one day, she decided to come out.

Will Jesus EVER return?
by Fisherman infor thousands of years the christian hope has been the return of jesus.
the nt unambiguiously teaches the return of jesus.
will jesus ever return in a manner percivable to the senses?

Mrs. Witness
Actually, Jesus is more like the head elf. Santa and YHWH are can be directly correlated, though. Think about it. They're both old men with white beards. They keep lists of who's naughty and nice. They punish you if you're bad (Santa brings coal, YHWH throws you in a lake of fire).
Come to think of it, have you ever seen them in a room together? I wonder...

I hear you OTWO. You hit the nail on the head. I wasn't trying to bash, just trying to get a grip on when to say when.

I have that Kiss song running through my head now, thanks Oompa.
OK, now, talk about timing. I'm a UBM and am having the same issues, dear Oomp. JW hubby always tells me he loves me and when I answer "I love you, too", I feel like I'm lying. OTWO's post was basically "separate but equal"...you know, "I'll invite you even though I know you'll say 'no' and you'll invite me..." When does it end? What is a marriage when you are living separate lives? When do you stop being married and become roommates?
Hubby spent 36 out of 72 hours this weekend at the DC. He's gone Tuesday & Thursday nights, Saturday mornings/aftenoons (service & personal study) and Sunday mornings. He only does enough around the house and with the kids so he can say he contributes and when I bring all this up, his answer is "if you were with me..." and my answer to that is "when Hell freezes over". I've asked him to leave and he won't. Consequently, I'm dealing with depression now (we have a child, it's complicated).
If you love her Oompa, work it out, but if it gets to the point where you can't take it any more...bail. This religion is a cancer and it eats away at a person's mind until they don't know who they are any more and, until they wake up and cut out the tumor, they're lost in a maze of nonsensical doctrines and stuck on a hamster wheel of continuous busy work. And when you have all that crap, when do you have time to actually be a husband/wife and father/mother?
Good luck, Oompa.
